Hi Folks,
All the wheels are in motion and things moving along as expected.
For LARP fans out there we've got the Solemn Vale Live rules almost finished layout. ย We'll be making these rules free for everyone to download so stay tuned for more details.
Below is a look at the current Solemn Vale map progress. ย We initially only wanted to make this a print map but we might make a digital version available as some point in the future.
Still only US and UK orders for now. ย We wanted to have this open already but likely a few more days. ย We'll send an update once it's opened.
General DV News
Solemn Vale = Currently in art and layout.
The Wyrd Abacus = The stand alone rules have been made available for free to download over on itch. ย These are the same rules that are available as part of the the Solemn Vale playtest pack. ย They'll be used as the basis for a few of our settings such as Summer of Strange, Wyrd Noir and Hoodlum.ย
The Sigma Syndrome = Writing complete and in art and Layout. ย Playtesting started, if interested in taking part, join up to our playtest group.
Summer of Strange = A micro setting within SIGMA World that uses the Wyrd Abacus rules. ย Writing complete and in dev. ย Release Q4 2021 - Pre-Orders opening soon.
Hoodlums = a ttRPG set within the crime riddled Jazz era. ย Will use the Wyrd Abacus rules.

Hi Folks,
This week we have a look at some of the Stage Cards in their final layout, minus some tweaks here and there. ย The Stage Cards are a support tool for the game and the same text will be included in the Stage Rules PDF that backers will receive as part of their reward. ย Depending on space, we may look to include all of the unlocked Stage Rules directly into the core book. ย We'll let you know how it plays out. ย
Still only US and UK orders for now. ย We'll open up the pre-order store to the other regions by the end of next week. ย ย

Short update this week as we're knee deep in finalising the BacketKit pre-order page. ย I'll spend the next day or two reviewing things before launching but I'll be sure to send an update here once it's live.
We're doing things in steps with the US and UK pre-orders being opened first before extending to the other regions. ย Also note this is not the KS backer survey as those will be going out a later date.

Solemn Vale Project Update - 2021 wk 27

Hi folks,
Over the last week or so we've seen quite a bit of movement across the remaining Stretch Goal content with a big stack of stage rules (Challenges, Denizens, Locations and Encounters) received and the final editing pass on the core book pretty much done.
Art and design is still on going and we're making good progress on the core book and the regional survey map. ย We're also working on a few more .STL minis to add to the denizens of Solemn Vale.
It's been a bit slow getting the BackerKit pre-order page finalised but the goal is to have this up and running by the end of the month. ย We're still investigating fulfilment partners for the UK and Rest of World and need that nailed down before we go live with that.
General DV News
We've got the first drafts of The Sigma Syndrome in and making great progress. ย Once we get the Solemn Vale PDF out to backers and print buy placed, we'll be looking to get that launched, ideally on KS. ย We'll be starting up playtesting on this shortly, so if you'd like to participate be sure to sign up to our sigma syndrome FB group linked at the end of this update.
Samples for our Gemstone Deco Dice have been received and they look pretty sweet. ย We'll be looking to run a small pre-order for these along with some new colours of the core resin dice.

Our vampire game, Meridian, and our crime anthology series, Wyrd Noir, will be moving into development in a few weeks so stay tuned for more information on that in subsequent updates or via our newsletter. ย Both of these are part of the shared Sigma World universe that Solemn Vale and The Sigma Syndrome exist within.
We've got a stack of other projects rolling that we'll discuss later in the year.
