Hi Folks,
This week we have the preview of the Wyrd Abacus Rules chapter and the story module, Footprints. ย It's 50+ pages of content that will give you an idea of what's in store for the final version of the book.
I've decided to host the PDF on itch.io for now for ease of tracking and implementing any errata. ย The expectation is we'll have all the content also on DriveThruRPG at a later date. The file is free but shows minimum donation value of $1 as for some reason it can't be set to $0 while keeping the donation functionality. ย The intent is for you to get it for free so be sure to select the "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" options after pressing Download.
I'd love for folks to have a look and try out the system and the story if so inclined. ย Any feedback, always welcome. ย Feel free to spread the word as the download is open to everyone. ย Be aware that the content is pulled directly from the core book so some pages will show xx or refer to content not shown in the free PDF.

Hi folks,
Hope everyone is doing well with all the crazy that's going on in the world. My thoughts go out to those in Ukraine having to fend off this mad invasion.
Project Update
The last few months have been pretty tough as I've been dealing with some recurring mental health issues that unfortunately put me out of action for quite a while. This put me further behind than I would like but things are back on track and moving forward again with gusto. I know it's not ideal but it's the reality of the situation and I really do prefer transparency.ย
A couple of points
Timelines - The current expectation for having the digital version out to backers will be May-2022. If it happens to be sooner then the PDF will go out sooner.
BackerKit - I'll be opening BackerKit and surveys once I have the final PDF out to backers. At this point Iโd prefer folks can see the book is finished before sending those links out.
Wyrd Rules - I will be releasing the fully laid out rules chapter and a free story module with next week's update. Folks will be able to see whatโs in store for the final product and maybe even try things out.
Updates - I'll be aiming to get regular updates back on track and going out every two weeks to ensure folks are kept in the loop.
I know talk of delays is super frustrating but we'll get there... just a little later then expected.
The support is truly appreciated and I can't wait to get this fabulous game out to you all.ย

Hi Folks,
As we stride into the new year we're on the home stretch to getting Solemn Vale finished up. ย At this point it's mostly all about getting the remainder of the artwork finished. ย We're getting there, slowly but surely. ย With that in mind, today's update includes two spreads from the magic section of the Wyrd Abacus rules chapter detailing the use of Wards and Spells.
We'll continue with the regular updates though information will be pretty minimal as we push to get the book finished and out to backers.
Important things like BackerKit survey, finalizing address etc have not yet been sent/requested so no need to worry on that. ย We'll have plenty of reminders once those things are set to go.

Hi Folks,
Quick update to keep folks in the loop. ย Some setbacks in November meant I didn't get through as much of the final artwork for Solemn Vale as I wanted to. ย That said, I'm back on track and pushing through the final pieces. ย We've had lots of nice feedback on the ashcan version of the PDF and I'm putting in the changes based on the final editing pass. ย ย If interested in reading the ashcan version, let me know via a KS message.
With that, I want to wish everyone happy holidays and I'll see you all in the next update.
KS Survey - Digital Rewards

Hi Folks,
We are still waiting to send out BackerKit surveys but we want to ensure we capture everyone's digital distribution method, DriveThruRPG or itch.io. ย For this, we'll be using the KS reward survey. ย Again, this is not the final survey so no one has missed out on the BackerKit etc.
We'll reiterate the same question when the BackerKit survey goes out so if you prefer to wait till then, also not a problem.
We are a little bit behind on hitting the end-Nov digital delivery date but we are close. ย We'll provide more details during the next update.
