Hi Folks,
Itโs been a bit of a busy week here at the Dirty Vortex office as we continue work on the Solemn Vale core book. ย Over the next month or two we'll be busy with the artwork and layout. ย Weโll be sharing glorious full color progress shots along the way.
For folks who missed out on the Solemn Vale KS, weโll be launching the BackerKit shortly, though weโre still unsure of the exact date. ย Sign up to our Hex List or our Solemn Vale FB group to be kept in the loop when we launch.
Wyrd Noir
We will be releasing an ongoing anthology series that uses our Wyrd Abacus system. ย Wyrd Noir is a ttRPG anthology series that will delve into crime, dread, corruption, ambition, vengeance, and despair... tinged with a little Wyrd. ย Itโll have stand alone stories and micro-settings that will expand on the Wyrd World setting at large.
The core Wyrd Abacus rules will be made available as a free PDF.
Deco Dice
Our first project under Dirty Vortex was the Deco Dice Kickstarter and weโre going to be opening up pre-orders on our Season 2 colors within the next week or so. ย ย Stay Tuned!

There you have it, folks, the Solemn Vale Kickstarter campaign came to a nail biting finish... and what a finale it was. ย Managed to get those LARP rules unlocked in the last seconds of the campaign. Wonderful.
We would like to take this moment to thank all our backers and supporters. Your generosity and enthusiasm for Solemn Vale has brought this project to life.
We'll provide regular updates on the project and where we plan on taking things going forward but for now we just wanted thank everyone for their support.
We'll catch you down the Bowler's Arm for a pint of Badger's Stump.

A new module has been added to our Into the Wyrd compendium - A Dark Legacy by Graeme Davis.
We have also added more exciting game content via new Stage Rules and a core book expansion for spells, charms and invocations. This new content explores ancient lore, dark rituals, and mysterious locations for your Solemn Vale stories.
We are truly humbled by your support. As we approach the final countdown, there are still a few more Stretch Goals to be unlocked including LARP rules, modules and Stage Rules.

Another module has just been added to our Into the Wyrd compendium - The Muse by Graeme Davis.
A Top of the Pops glam rock band has undertaken a retreat to Solemn Vale in a quest for artistic legitimacy and a new creative direction. Weeks later, at the behest of the bandโs manager, a group travels to Solemn Vale to check in on the bandโs progress and well-being.
There they discover a town in the grips of creative chaos and something Wyrd driving the bandโs newfound inspiration.
Next up in our Stretch Goals is The Bride by Justin Achilli - Short fiction for Into the Wyrd.

Thanks to your continuing support for Solemn Vale, another Stretch Goal has been reached. The Lock by Howard David Ingham is the first piece of short fiction for our Into the Wyrd compendium.
In The Lock, a group of out-of-towners arrive in Solemn Vale to explore the old Looe and Liskeard Canal Walk and the abandoned village of Leistone. Crossing paths with some of the locals, they will discover that some things are better left undisturbed.
Our short fiction Stretch Goals offer the reader valuable local lore and provide Wyrd and wonderful narrative ideas for your Solemn Vale stories.
We are very excited to reach this stage of the Kickstarter campaign and have more amazing new content, including additional modules, LARP rules, and core rule expansions for spells, charms, and invocations.
