Solemn Vale - Shipping Timelines
8 months ago โ€“ Wed, Apr 03, 2024 at 03:45:25 PM

Hi Folks,

Short update to keep everyone informed. Vessel confirmed ETA at port in New York is 09-Apr-2024. Our freight forwarder has still to confirm the trucking timelines to Los Angeles but it should be around an additional week or so from when it arrives in NYC. Once I have that confirmation of final ETA in LA I'll start the process of finalizing delivery addresses.

Thanks and regards,
Mark

Solemn Vale - Shipping Timelines
9 months ago โ€“ Sun, Feb 25, 2024 at 10:32:51 PM

Hi Folks,

We've got the confirmation from the printer that the books for the US backers will arrive in California around 14-Apr-2024. The UK and Rest of World orders will arrive sooner at our UK based fulfilment partner, Spiral Galaxy, so we might see those order start shipping out to backers a little earlier.

With that in mind, I'll be starting the process of finalising delivery addresses for all backers. In the next week to 10 days, I'll be sending out the final reminders to make sure your shipping address is up to date. You'll receive a link to the BackerKit in the reminder where you can adjust the address as needed. If you have any issues with that, please let me know and I can assist accordingly.

Really excited to get the book out to backers and thanks for the continued patience. Once the shipments arrive they'll be going out to backers ASAP.

Thanks and regards,
Mark

Solemn Vale - Production Proof Approvals
10 months ago โ€“ Sat, Jan 27, 2024 at 05:03:50 PM

Hi Folks,

The production proofs arrived for pre-shipment approvals. I will be doing the final quality checks this weekend before confirming with the printer that the product can be booked onto vessel/truck for departure early-Feb-2024. I have to say, the books look very nice and the printer did a lovely job.

Now it's just playing the waiting game for the pallets to be loaded and shipped to their respective distribution centers.ย

I'll keep folks updated, as always, on the progress but again, not much to be done at this point other than wait for the product to ship and arrive. There is no one on this great big ball of rock and water that wants this product to ship out to backers ASAP so I appreciate the patience as we get over the final hurdle.

I thank everyone for their support and can't wait to get these books out to everyone.

Thanks and regards,
Mark

Solemn Vale - Print Production Samples - Soft Cover
11 months ago โ€“ Fri, Dec 15, 2023 at 01:42:26 AM

Hi Folks,

Quick update to show the physical print copy of the standard softcover version of the Solemn Vale core book. The printer sent over a few more photos. YaY!

I'll be out of the office for the next two weeks for Christmas back in Scotland. I'll get the next update sent out once I'm back.

Happy Holidays, everyone. Thanks for sticking with me on this one. It's been a long road but, as I've said a few times already... almost there.

Thanks and regards,

Mark

Solemn Vale - Print Production Samples

Hi Folks,

Got some production photos from the printer. YaY!!! It's such a huge relief to get to this point where the finish line is truly in sight and can't wait to get these books out to everyone. I've requested additional shots once the various parts of the book move through production so I'll share them if I get them.

With the high traffic Holiday Season, the printer estimates the books will ship out from Lithuania early/mid-Jan-2024. We are printing with Standartu Impressa, used by a lot of the larger publishers out there in ttRPG land.

For now it's really just a waiting game and I thank everyone for their continued patience. I'll send out the final address reminders along those same timelines to ensure I've got the most up to date information. A link to the BackerKit is included in these reminders so you can access and update the delivery information accordingly.

If anyone has any questions, drop me a message on KS or email me at > [email protected]

I'll see you all in the next update.

Thanks and regards,

Mark
