Hi Folks,
Just a quick one. I'm pushing to get the book done prior to the end of the year but it's looking more likely it'll be somewhere in the first week of January-2023 before I get the PDF out to backers. I could send the incomplete PDF out now but I decided to wait and ensure the book that goes out is 100% complete.
I'm down to only a handful of pending artwork and some additional graphic design so it'll be very soon.
I'll be in touch shortly with the links via DriveThru and Itch. Once the PDF is out to backers I'll spend the next week after that reviewing the BackerKit to ensure it's all solid then we'll get the surveys rolling etc. Expect that around mid-Jan-2023.
Print timelines will be reviewed at a later date once the errata period is complete and the printer schedules the print run. So for now, physical delivery dates are still unknown.
Well that's that. Hoping everyone has a festive holiday season and I'll see you all in the next update... where the book will be finished. Woohoo!!!

Good progress continues to be made with the Solemn Vale core book with around 25 pages left to finish. End of the year is still looking good. I'll have a definitive idea within the next two weeks and I'll keep everyone posted, as per usual, on the progress.
If you want a proper sampler of the book, check out the free Wyrd Abacus rules linked below. The 80 page PDF incudes the full rules, a sample from "The Boundaries" chapter and the story module "Footprints".
The Stage Cards link was sent out a couple of weeks ago so be sure to check your KS Inbox for those. Once the book goes out proper I'll include the PDF so it'll be in your DriveThru or Itch, just an FYI if you prefer to wait and get the stage cards via that route.

Hi folks,
Things are moving well with about 50 pages from the 352 page core book left to complete. At the current rate I'm getting 1 or 2 pages done per day. With that said, and without generating too much stress, I'm hoping to get the PDF out to backers by the end of Dec-2022.
I've got the standalone Wyrd Abacus rules now uploaded onto DriveThruRPG. The 80 page PDF includes the full rules, a sample from "The Boundaries" chapter and the story module "Footprints". The Itch PDF has been updated also.
Any reviews and or feedback welcomed.
Next week I'll send out the file via DriveThruRPG along with the Print & Play versions of the Stage Cards.ย

Hi Folks,
I just finished up the free version of The Wyrd Abacus and it's now available over on the Dirty Vortex Itch. It also includes a free story module, Footprints.
These are the same pages as presented in the Solemn Vale book so it'll give you a good idea of what to expect.
I've also updated Summer of Strange ashcan with more art and the project editors have completed their passes. SoS uses the same system as Solemn Vale and takes the horror from small town England in the 1970s to small town America in the mid-1980s. The final version is the book will offer a stack more content in the way of story modules, hooks and monsters.
